Roma travel to Napoli for an eighth-round Serie A fixture at the Maradona, with Gian Piero Gasperini's side looking to extend a strong start to the league campaign. Gasperini has told his players not to wake up from the dream, and Roma have no intention of slowing down after their excellent start in Serie A. Napoli are coached by Massimiliano Allegri, and the match is a major test that will say much about Roma's real ambitions.
Roma have been dealt several absences, with Mile Svilar, Manu Koné, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Paulo Dybala all missing out. Gasperini can, however, count on two important returns: Bryan Cristante, who was already called up against Slovan on Tuesday evening, and Donyell Malen, who has served his league suspension. Both are expected to start from the first minute at the Maradona. Cristante is in contention with Rodrigo Mora for a place in the starting line-up, while Evan N'Dicka is fit and set to line up in the back three alongside Gianluca Mancini and Mario Hermoso, with Daniele Ghilardi and Marten de Roon also in the mix. Devyne Rensch returns on the right, with Emanuele Lulli on the bench.
Roma line up in a 3-4-1-2 with Pierluigi Gollini in goal and Matías Soulé alongside Malen up front, with Cristante in the attacking midfield role. Napoli start in a 4-3-3 with Milinkovic-Savic in goal, and Hojlund, Lang and Politano in attack, supported by De Bruyne and McTominay. Napoli's bench includes Meret, Contini, Beukema, Gilmour, Giovane, Lobotka, Lucca, Marianucci, Rrahmani, Spinazzola and Vergara. Roma's bench includes Vásquez, De Marzi, Koulierakis, Molina, Balerdi, Di Nunzio, Mora, Castro and Camara.
The match is part of the eighth round of Serie A EniLive and is broadcast live and exclusively on DAZN, with kickoff at 18:00. Viewers can also watch via smart TVs, Xbox or PlayStation, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Google Chromecast or TIM VISION Box. Live updates are available through Forzaroma.info and on the club's social channels on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
