Devyne Rensch

Devyne Rensch grew up at Ajax — one of world football's most prestigious academies — and made over 100 first-team appearances for the Amsterdam club before joining Roma in January 2025. Born in Lelystad to a family of Surinamese descent, he was part of the Ajax generation that won back-to-back Eredivisie titles in 2021 and 2022, and was voted the club's best youth prospect.

A right-back by trade who can also play centre-back, Rensch brings the Ajax DNA to Rome: technical composure, intelligent positioning, and a willingness to join attacks without neglecting defensive duties. He is calm on the ball and reads the game well beyond his years — a product of the Ajax way of playing.

Still in his early twenties, Rensch has senior Netherlands international experience and was part of the Netherlands U21 squad for the 2025 European Championship. The best years of his career are still ahead of him, and Roma have secured a player with serious potential.
