Roma have moved decisively to sign Jayden Oosterwolde from Fenerbahçe, with the transfer nearing completion on the final days of the summer window. Fabrizio Romano reported on 22 August at 23:54 that a deal is done: the Dutch defender will join on loan with a right of purchase worth approximately €18 million, which converts to an obligation under certain conditions. Oosterwolde, born 2001, has been tracked by Roma's recruitment staff since at least May. Schira added that Roma had prepared a contract to 2031 (1+4 years). The Fenerbahçe board worked to settle terms with Roma in the final hours, with Di Marzio reporting that the club hoped to close the deal during 22 August itself. Complicating the structure is a sell-on clause held by Parma, from whom Fenerbahçe originally signed Oosterwolde, giving the Serie A club 30 per cent of any future resale fee. Roma continue to pursue Torino winger Cacciamani after the club rejected an initial offer of €12 million. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, president Cairo turned down the bid, but Roma are preparing to increase their offer to move closer to Torino's €20 million valuation. Roma have registered interest in Inter midfielder Luis Henrique as head coach Gian Piero Gasperini looks to strengthen his squad. Under that structure, Roma would pay €25 million upfront to Porto, who would retain a 50% sell-on clause on any future resale of the player.
