Roma remembers Franco Sensi 18 years after his death
AS Roma marked the eighteenth anniversary of Franco Sensi's death on 17 August, honouring the club's longest-serving president who died on 17 August 2008. During his quarter-century at the helm, Sensi led Roma to two Coppa Italia titles, two Supercoppa Italiana crowns, and most notably the Serie A title in 2001. The club posted a tribute on social media with an archive photograph, stating: "On 17 August 2008 Franco Sensi left us." Sensi's tenure defined an era in which Roma competed at the highest levels in Italian and European football. His daughter Rosella, who assumed leadership of the club in his final years before the sale of the organization, shared her own tribute on Instagram: "Goodbye dad, it's 18 years since you left us but we miss you immensely every day."
