Roma away section set for full reopening at Como

Roma supporters will be able to travel to Como for the Serie A match on Sunday 11 October at 12:30 at Stadio Sinigaglia after months of away-end restrictions. The visiting section will be open to giallorossi fans from any region, with only an AS Roma Fidelity Card required for entry. The decision marks a significant easing of travel limitations that have affected Roma's away support in recent months. Ticket sales for the away section begin on Friday 2 October at 12:00 and close at 19:00 on 10 October, or earlier if allocation runs out. Como have set the price at €25 per ticket, inclusive of booking fees and service charges. The reopening comes at an important moment in the season, as Gian Piero Gasperini's squad resumes league action and will once again have a fully giallorosso-coloured away section in attendance—a return to normality after the restrictions that have characterised several away fixtures over recent months.

Roma supporters have been cleared to attend away matches after a ban lasting nearly nine months. The visiting section will be open for the first time at Como on Sunday, 11 October at the Sinigaglia stadium, ending a lengthy period of restrictions on travelling fans. The ban began on 18 January following clashes on the motorway between Roma supporters and Fiorentina fans after Roma's 2–0 away win at Torino. The restrictions were initially set to run until the end of the 2025–26 season but were extended through the first two away fixtures of the current campaign—at Lecce on 31 August and at Torino on 14 September. The lifting of the ban allows Roma fans to return to support Gasperini's squad away from the Olimpico under normal conditions, with no constraints affecting access to the away section. The Como fixture will mark the first opportunity for Roma's travelling support to resume their presence at external matches since January. Under the previous restrictions, the away section operated with limitations at each successive fixture, creating months of absence for fans who had followed the club throughout the 2025–26 season and into the early stages of the current campaign.

Former striker David Di Michele has praised Roma's prospects this season, saying the club can fight for the Serie A title regardless of their upcoming result against Como. Speaking to TMW, Di Michele highlighted the importance of backing Gasperini both on the pitch and in the transfer market. "The fundamental thing has been giving confidence to Gasperini in the field, but also in managing the market. Today Roma has a much broader squad and has almost all departments with dual roles. Credit also goes to the sporting results, because with the Champions League everything became easier," he said. Di Michele believes Roma remain contenders for the Scudetto independently of individual fixtures. However, he acknowledged that victory against Como would provide a significant confidence boost. "I remain of the idea that regardless of the result Roma remain in the fight for the title. Of course, winning that match would give such a boost of confidence, if not to win the Scudetto then at least to give trouble to Inter, who remain the team to beat. Como is slightly further behind, because they have a younger squad and because it won't be easy to manage the double commitment," he explained. Asked whether the match carries more weight for Como than Roma, Di Michele rated Como's chances at 55 per cent to Roma's 45 per cent. "Como must also cultivate ambitions. They have spent a lot over the last two years and today they can no longer hide," he concluded.
