Salah-Eddine Returns to Roma; PSV Bids Farewell as Future Remains Uncertain
Moroccan right-back Anass Salah-Eddine has formally returned to AS Roma after PSV Eindhoven failed to complete a permanent transfer. The Dutch club was unable to reach an agreement with Salah-Eddine's representatives over a purchase deal worth €8 million. PSV released a farewell message on social media, stating: "Anass, you promised you would fight for this badge and you did exactly that. Together we were able to celebrate a beautiful milestone with our third consecutive title. Thank you for your commitment, your energy and your contribution to our club. We wish you all the best for the next chapter of your career." Salah-Eddine did not impress head coach Gian Piero Gasperini during Roma's preseason last summer, and another departure appears highly likely this year as well. Roma is reportedly seeking around €10 million for the 2002-born fullback. Real Betis had been linked with interest in recent weeks, though they do not currently view him as a priority. With his future at the Giallorossi uncertain, Salah-Eddine is expected to move on again in the coming transfer window.
