
Roma legend Franco Tancredi visits Trigoria, greeted by Gasperini
Franco Tancredi, the former Roma goalkeeper who won the Serie A title in 1982–83, visited the club's training ground at Trigoria on May 1st. Tancredi, who played for Roma between 1977 and 1990, was greeted by head coach Gian Piero Gasperini. The club presented Tancredi with the number 1 goalkeeper shirt from the current season as a gift during the visit. Tancredi holds significant historical importance at Roma, having served as the club's goalkeeper coach from 1992 to 2004 (including four years in the youth academy) and again during the 2011–12 season. His visit came on Labour Day, May 1st, as Roma prepared for their upcoming Serie A match against Fiorentina scheduled for Monday, May 4th at the Olimpico, with kick-off at 20:45. The embrace between Gasperini and Tancredi was captured and shared by AS Roma's official channels, highlighting the club's continued connection with its legendary former players.
