Matías Soulé spoke to Sky Sport after Roma's comeback win against Atalanta, emphasising the unity and resilience of the squad. "I try to give everything, whether from the start or in the second half," he said. "I believe this squad is too united. We all give everything and are always available. We dominated this match, then we scored the two goals we simply deserved."
When asked whether Roma could be anti-Inter this season, Soulé stressed it was too early to judge at the third matchday. "Last season, playing like this we earned the Champions League. This year we want even more. Like what happened today, we show we never die and we believe until the end. We are happy with these three points—they were essential." He acknowledged the emotional weight of winning in the manner they did: "We suffered but winning like this in the end is an incredible joy, not only for us—look at the fans. It was a deserved great match and fortunately we brought home three points."
On the squad's potential for growth, Soulé noted: "Obviously we are doing well, it has been a beautiful start but we must continue fighting like today. We are right there. This squad can aim for many things and be at the top with the big teams." He also reflected on Lionel Messi's retirement from international football, saying: "For me he could play until 50, it is a shame but I have hope he can continue and play together with him, it would be a dream." Hermoso told him he deserves a call to the national team, to which Soulé replied: "I don't know—I work every day for this. For me it is important to give everything for this squad."
