Roma appoints John Galantic as new Chief Executive Officer
AS Roma has announced John Galantic as its new Chief Executive Officer, two years after Lina Souloukou's departure. Galantic, who served as board member during James Pallotta's ownership, brings extensive experience leading major global corporations, most recently in Italy. He has also held board positions at Ferrari and is a dual American-Swiss citizen of Italian heritage. The Friedkin Group issued a statement welcoming him: "Today we are very proud to announce the appointment of John Galantic as Chief Executive Officer of AS Roma. John has guided some of the most important global companies at the highest levels, most recently here in Italy. He has deep knowledge of Italian sport and business, having served on the Boards of AS Roma and Ferrari. An American and Swiss citizen of Italian origins, John has always been a Roma supporter. He loves this city, understands its soul, knows its fans and understands what this Club represents to them. We are firmly convinced he is the right person to lead this Club through its second century of history." The appointment comes amid a significant period for the club. Roma has secured Champions League football and on 22 July launched celebrations for the club's centenary. The Friedkin Group expressed their confidence that Galantic will guide Roma through this transformative season and beyond.
