Roma are monitoring Ismael Koné, the Sassuolo midfielder, as a potential summer reinforcement for their engine room. The Canadian, 23, is being tracked by the club as they prepare for the transfer window while managing Financial Fair Play constraints imposed by a Settlement Agreement with UEFA, which requires Roma to generate profits by June. On 7 May, Koné told Gazzetta dello Sport: "I'm being honest: I don't know where I'll play next season. We'll see what happens, but I'm focused on what I need to do. I'm happy at Sassuolo and with the club's trust. Then there's the World Cup." This season with Sassuolo, Koné has scored 6 goals in 33 appearances.
