One thousand officers deployed for Roma derby and tennis championships

Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar continued training individually on Saturday in preparation for his return to the team after the international break, with a special guest by his side. His son Lio-Mile, aged one year and five months, was at Trigoria with him. Svilar posted a touching photo of the pair on the field together on social media, captioned: "Giorno speciale a lavoro" ("Special day at work"). Svilar's absence has been felt in some moments, and Gasperini, like all Roma fans, is eager to have him back between the posts. The rest of the squad will return to training on Wednesday, when the group resumes work ahead of the next fixture. Lio-Mile was born to Svilar and his wife June Peeters on 18 June 2025.

Roma are looking to their past with a new retro-style lifestyle shirt for the 2026/27 season, with the first images revealed by Footy Headlines. The Adidas design draws on the club's tradition and borrows elements already found on the 2026/27 away kit. The shirt is built around a classic intense red base, featuring a striking horizontal yellow band across the chest, edged with a thin ivory outline. Cream-coloured Adidas three stripes run across the shoulders, while the crew neck is ribbed and tone-on-tone. What makes the shirt stand out are its vintage details. The chest carries the Adidas Originals Trefoil logo, while the opposite side features the historic ASR monogram set inside a shield-shaped crest. The emblem directly recalls the club's history: it was originally used between 1945 and 1949 and has been reproduced on the 2026/27 away kit. The design combines historic identity with contemporary style, a tribute to Roma's traditions. The release dates have not yet been announced.

Gian Piero Gasperini has become the centre of attention on social media after a video of the Roma head coach dancing went viral following his side's win over Sassuolo. The victory came after a defeat that had frustrated supporters, and the players responded with a determined performance on the pitch. After the final whistle, Gasperini, delighted with the response his team had shown, was seen in an unexpected light. In a video that quickly spread across social media platforms, the Roma coach was captured performing some playful dance steps. The clip shows a relaxed atmosphere and the harmony that has returned within the Giallorossi group. The footage immediately drew the attention and affection of Roma fans. It is further evidence that Gasperini's influence on the club extends beyond results on the pitch and Roma's position near the top of the table, reflecting a total connection with the environment and the infectious enthusiasm surrounding Trigoria in this early part of the season.
