Roma bid €25m for Mora as hunt for left-winger intensifies
Roma have stepped up their pursuit of left-winger Rodrigo Mora with an improved offer worth €25 million, according to Fabrizio Romano. Director D'Amico and head coach Gasperini are keen to address a gap on the left flank that has persisted for over a year. Mora, who was left on the bench for 90 minutes in a match against Rio Ave yesterday evening, is now close to joining the club. After two days of stalled negotiations, Roma have renewed their push for the Portuguese winger. The club's recent contact with Mora's current side has been positive. Under the proposed deal, Roma will pay €25 million upfront, with the selling club retaining a 50 per cent stake in any future sale. The Rome club continue their summer recruitment efforts even during the mid-August break, prioritising the addition of an experienced left-sided option to Gasperini's squad.
