Rome's Mayor Roberto Gualtieri said on Radio Radio that the bureaucratic process for AS Roma's new stadium has concluded and construction will begin in 2027. The technical project has been approved, Roma Capitale can proceed with the tender, and the executive project will follow. Construction is expected to take two and a half years, with the stadium potentially ready by the second half of 2029. Gualtieri described the approval as historic for its speed and called the new ground one of the world's most beautiful stadiums.
