Vaz sidelined with knee injury as Roma pursues Endrick, Garnacho and Summerville
Robinio Vaz has suffered a first-degree medial collateral ligament injury to his right knee during training at Trigoria and will miss several weeks of pre-season preparation. The 2007-born forward's condition will be monitored by Roma's medical staff. Director of sport Tony D'Amico has explored a move for Real Madrid's Endrick, the Brazilian talent seeking greater playing time after limited action last season. Real Madrid are open to a loan deal, a formula Roma favour, though the club would prefer to include a buyout clause with a repurchase option. José Mourinho at Real Madrid wants to evaluate the player before making a final decision. Roma has made concrete progress on other fronts, submitting an offer to Chelsea for Alejandro Garnacho worth €5 million on loan with a right of purchase set at €35 million, convertible to an obligation under certain conditions. The Argentine forward has already approved the transfer. Head coach Gian Piero Gasperini has also identified Crysencio Summerville and Christos Tzolis as targets. Summerville, at West Ham, is valued at approximately €40 million, while Tzolis, currently at Bruges, is considered a more affordable option.
