Rodrigo Taddei, the former Roma midfielder, has welcomed fellow Portuguese player Rodrigo Mora to the club in a video message posted on Roma's official channels. Taddei, who spent nine seasons at Roma and became one of the most beloved players among supporters, delivered a brief but heartfelt greeting to Mora, the new arrival to Gian Piero Gasperini's squad. "For Rodrigo, my namesake. I am here to wish you good luck, may God bless you and may you be able to achieve all your dreams with our magical Roma. Come on Roma always, a big hug," Taddei said in the video. The welcome message comes as Mora begins his Roma adventure, arriving just days after confirming his transfer to the Giallorossi. Taddei's greeting carries special weight given his deep understanding of what it means to wear the Roma shirt.

Davide Frattesi has removed from social media several posts he wrote as a young Lazio supporter, including messages attacking Roma. On 22 September 2013, at age 14, Frattesi wrote ahead of the derby: "Come on Lazio, give me this gift, let's smash these disgusting things." Roma won that match 2–0, with goals from Balzaretti and Ljajic. In 2011, after Roma's loss to Palermo, he had also posted: "Where is Roma?" Frattesi joined Roma's academy in 2014, announcing the move as "a new adventure that feels like a dream." When questioned by followers about his allegiances, he responded directly: "I am Lazio." That statement remained online while his circumstances changed dramatically. He later left Rome for Sassuolo and then Inter, though he reportedly harboured hopes of returning to Roma for years. Those hopes never materialised, but his career has taken an unexpected turn: he has now rejoined the club he supported as a child. The circle has closed with Frattesi back at the team he once defended so openly as a teenager, raising the question of whether he will remain there this time.

FIFA has handed down disciplinary sanctions against players involved in a post-match altercation following the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina, won by Spain 1–0 with a goal from Ferran Torres in the second half of extra time. Two Roma players are affected: Nahuel Molina received a 7-match ban and a €77,000 fine, while Leandro Paredes was suspended for 10 matches with the same financial penalty. Thiago Almada and Roberto Ayala also faced sanctions, while Spain's Gavi was punished. Roma face no disruption to their squad. The bans apply exclusively to international matches, as the sanctions are tied to competitive fixtures for the national teams. Molina and Paredes will be able to continue playing regularly for the club without restriction.
