Farioli addressed the situation after the match, responding to comments made by Mora's lawyer, Luis Miguel Henrique. The Porto manager said: "Ci sono cose che sono soggette a diverse interpretazioni... alla fine delle partite i giocatori si salutano e socializzano parecchio" and then tackled the representation directly: "Alla gente piace creare narrazioni. Farioli explained that Mora and fellow forward Gabri occupy the same position, forcing difficult selection decisions. He noted that Mora played nearly 2,000 minutes last season while Gabri played a similar amount, and that both have been treated equally within the squad.
