Perotti reflects on unforgettable Chelsea victory and Totti's final match
Diego Perotti, the former Roma striker, participated in an Enel event where he spoke to Giallorossi supporters about his time at the club. When asked about the most important goal of his career, Perotti said: "Of all things, I miss everything about football. The most important goal? Without doubt the one in Francesco Totti's final match." Perotti also highlighted the 3–0 Champions League victory against Chelsea as the match he would most like to relive, describing it as "one of those evenings, those matches that I would want to replay many, many times." Perotti's comments underscore the emotional significance of Totti's departure from Roma and the iconic moments that defined his time at the club. The Chelsea result stands as one of the most memorable European performances in recent Roma history. Perotti has since transitioned away from professional football and found new outlets for his competitive energy. When discussing life after retirement, Perotti revealed that he has filled the void left by football through padel tennis, which he plays almost every day. He explained: "I found myself doing very well and I managed to fill a bit the emptiness that football left me with padel. I play it almost every day and with that I manage to release some energy."
