Roma scout attends Leverkusen vs Leipzig match; targets Nusa and Schlager
Roma had an observer in the stands at the BayArena for Bayer Leverkusen's Champions League clash against Leipzig, with the club actively planning for the summer transfer window. According to reports, the scout was monitoring two Red Bull-affiliated players: Antonio Nusa, a 2005-born Norwegian winger, and Xavier Schlager, a 1997-born midfielder at Leipzig. Head coach Gian Piero Gasperini is reportedly keen on both players as Roma prepares for the upcoming market. Nusa remains a priority for director Massara, who attempted to sign the winger in January when his valuation stood at approximately €50 million. That bid stalled, but a summer return is possible if Roma secure a significant outgoing transfer. Schlager has also been on the club's radar since the winter window as a potential replacement should Niccolò Pisilli depart. The scouting mission proved unsuccessful from a result perspective: Leverkusen dominated the encounter, winning 4–1, and Nusa was substituted at halftime. Roma intends to approach the summer market with clear objectives as the current season draws to a close.
